Remodel in downtown office building, sushi bar, and restaurant/bar: Kona Grill is known for great sushi, large unique aquarium, and a terrific social atmosphere. We custom designed two massive, curved, saltwater tanks that can be walked through when entering the bar area. The back wall to the sushi counter is a 5’x12’ digital screen with live feed from a bamboo forest gently blowing in wind. Many custom furniture pieces, specialty lighting, and unique artifact package created an environment sophisticated, hip, yet very comfortable. The floor plan lay out allowed different seating “neighborhoods” accommodating various guest needs, from secluded quiet dining to raucous bar scene and neutral seating spaces to observe either. The materials, finishes and level of execution were sophisticated as would be expected in this major downtown city.
