This project’s challenge was to create a chef-driven, farm to table concept with a small budget and limited space. The design solution anchors the space with a centered hot/cold stone counter to showcase their prepared foods. Rustic, local materials like reclaimed box car wood and dyed concrete flooring creates a comfortable environment with a contemporary edge. Furniture, lighting and artifacts were selected to create a ‘grandma’s kitchen’ feel, in vintage character and integrity. An efficient and clean lined merchandise area for packaged foods was located adjacent to the entry for ease of use and niche marketing.
